Aled Llewelyn Woosnam Upper Gwestydd, Newtown – It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Aled Llewelyn Woosnam, of Upper Gwestydd, Newtown, who died on Friday, 2 January 2026, at the age of 30. His unexpected death has brought profound sorrow to his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Aled was a much-loved son to Gareth and Delyth, a loving and devoted brother to Geraint, and a dear friend to Geraint’s partner, Eleri. He was also a cherished nephew, cousin, and friend, whose warmth, kindness, and presence left a lasting impression on many lives.
Those who knew Aled remember him for his gentle nature, loyalty, and genuine care for others. He had a quiet strength and a generous heart, always ready to support those around him. His friendships were meaningful and enduring, built on trust, laughter, and mutual respect. Aled’s loss is felt deeply across the Newtown community, where he was valued and loved.
A funeral service to celebrate and give thanks for Aled’s life will be held at Hope Church, Newtown, on Friday, 30 January 2026, at 1:00 pm, followed by burial at Newtown Cemetery. Family, friends, and all who knew Aled are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects.
